After roughly a month’s rest, I went backto training. Excited than ever, I took my pre-workout meal and headed straight to the gym.
I will posting my work-out logs, programs, diet and such for others to critique.I would love to hear your thoughts about what I do in the gym.
To my surprise, I hadn’t been able to lift the weights I had been training with since I left. My body was at a total shock. Not that I didn’t like it, but I still found that I hadn’t fully recovered yet. After every greuling set, I was coughing. And louder as I progressed with my program. Nevertheless, I still persisted and pushed through with it.
Training Program. There are a wide variety of training programs out there that promise sunshines and rainbows. Not to say that they do not work or what not, but thing is it doesn’t synchronize with one’s goals. You can try to pick a training program on-line, but is it really inclined with what your goals are? Worst, do you even have a goal?
I myself have been victimized by such a short-term mindset. Majority of the training programs are in a inside a 4-6week training duration. What happens after that then? Do you really expect to get to where you want to be versus where you are now physically in a matter of 4-6 weeks?
Guinea Pig. I have designed my program in such a way that I am able to reach a certain body weight and over-all physical appearance within a 3-month time-frame.It’s composed of 3 training programs, and each program is within a 3-4week duration. This is something I just came up with, but still is backed by some thorough research and experience. Confusing?
Let’s dumb it down. On the initial training program, my objective is to increase body mass, weight and strength. I used what has worked for me before, which is doing heavy-low-rep exercises. It looks something like this:
As promised, I will be posting my progress on my workouts. Admittedly, I’m little ashamed to do so, but what the heck. (The numbers are based on pounds/lbs., and are the heaviest weight lifted on the training day)
Now I know it looks a little sucky, but I’d rather be honest with myself. Let me know your thoughts.
